Caymus has a signature style that is dark in color, with rich fruit and ripe, velvety tannins – as approachable in youth as in maturity. We farm Cabernet grapes in eight of Napa’s 16 sub-appellations, with diversification enabling us to make the best possible wine in a given year. Our Cabernet offers layered, lush aromas and flavors, including cocoa, cassis and ripe dark berries.
  • Sourced from vineyards in Napa Valley managed and farmed by the Wagner family, whose roots in the area date back to the 1850s.
    • Led by winemaker Chuck Wagner, who founded Caymus Vineyards with his parents in 1972.
      • Known for high quality and consistency, with a signature style that is renowned worldwide.
        • Created from a combination of 75% valley floor and 25% hillside fruit, making this wine lush and supple, with a solid backbone.
          • Rich, dark and concentrated, resulting from picking grapes late in the growing season with excellent “hang time.”
            • Highly enjoyable upon release and also ages extremely well for 10 years and beyond.
